Live music from Austin, Texas
Originally conceived in 2001 as an 18-piece big band, the Blue Diamonds have been mixing a traditional big band jazz repertoire with more modern blues, funk and rock arrangements for over seven years. The current lineup as a nine-piece ensemble was established in 2005, and has allowed the Blue Diamonds to include more bebop, Latin, rock and R&B tunes in addition to our own treatments of ball room classics, swing tunes and vocal standards.

In six years, the performances at TCMF have run the musical gamut, from traditional bierhaus music to full-sized orchestras; from Middle Eastern Bellydancers to Scottish pipe and drums to “All That Jazz.” If the music lives in Texas, the music’s been performed at the Texas Community Music Festival.

It’s time to run ten and celebrate the distance!
Twenty stages will be on course filled with live rock ‘n’ roll music from local Austin bands, including the Blue Diamonds. The Austin 10/20 puts a stage every half mile along the route, right up close for our spectators – you! The Blue Diamonds are at Mile 7.6.

The Boo Bash is a night of high spirits for kids and adults.
